I was wondering if they frequently go to a specific place, like local baseball game, if the lot was alongside it. The light pole banners say state fair.

Hmm. My dad has a ‘67 International Loadstar
4WD on ice that I’ve been threatening to turn into a giant stepside pickup, with possibility of seats in back. He kind of wants flatbed and/or dump
, for which I’m examining removable sides. This would be doable.

It must be done

If I got a large truck I would do this, I might make it a full on living room with a fire place, put a gas heater in it .

Yeah, make it modular. I’ve been thinking of ways to make something cool for the M37, I will park it at the beach a lot so we could make a nice seating area and they make canvas for them anyway.

That is amazing.

That’s the most functional parade-watching dumper that I’ve seen. Most of the places I’ve been to at Mardi Gras don’t have room for a dumper, so we’ve seen a lot of parade ladders.

Somebody posted a different angle of this a few weeks ago, and I’m still not sure how you’re supposed to get up there. Sure, I could climb up it, but is everyone expected to do the s ame? Unless there’s a ladder nearby, the only thing I can figure is that everybody gets on it before it gets tilted up. I’ m sure that makes ba throom breaks interesting...

I wondered that, there could be something on the other side, that old dude doesn’t want to climb up there. Maybe they bring a ladder...

We usually go to the one by Wisconsin Dells at least once a year.
Take the van, back it in a spot, drop the rear seat under the hatch, watch a movie in comfort with surround sound from the hatch speakers. It’s a great time!

In the distant past, Cornell used to row on Cayuga Lake, which has a rail line along the eastern shore. For some regattas, there was apparently a train that ran along the coast, so that observers could stay with the action. I’ve been told that these trains had some sort of makeshift seating structure but you can’t really tell from the only crappy picture I can find, but it does look like there are several levels of people in the Lehigh Valley rail cars :

Upstate New York still has a ton of them, or at least did, when I lived there 5 years ago.
Now, the only one near me is abandoned, and last operated as a porno theater about 20 years ago. Still not sure how that worked.
